Honouring Roh, our beautiful thoroughbred rescue, who embodies the spirit of resilience, courage and forward motion that defines the year of the Fire Horse.

Roh raced as All-in-a-Roh, but life after the track was not kind. He came to Horse Shepherd emaciated, exhausted, with a devastating injury to his right wither. Together, our community raised over $20,000 for the operations that gave Roh his second chance.

Fire Horse is a candle of warmth, strength, and renewal, a reminder that even after hardship, life can begin again.

Bright mandarin and petitgrain bring lift and gentle energy. Clary sage adds calm strength and clarity, softened by the lightness of white tea. A warm amber base grounds the fragrance with depth and quiet warmth.

Our rescue candles are hand made to the highest quality and poured with love here in Australia. Vegan friendly, beautifully scented, and created to support the ongoing work of the sanctuary.

Candles are available in two sizes.

Our single wick candle in a chic mat black traveler’s tin is 78mm wide, 52mm high and holds 150g of wax with an approximate 30 hour burn time.

Our double wick XL tin is 92mm wide and 64mm high. This candle contains 210g of wax and a double wick for an even burn of approximately 40 hours.

To maximise the life of your candle, please burn for no longer than 4 hours and allow the wax to re-harden before relighting. Do not extinguish until the melted wax pool has reached the edges of the tin.
