Little HSES Cassie came home today, and it felt an important reminder of why we hold so firmly to a right of return for every horse we rehome.
Life changes. Circumstances change. That is simply life.
Cassie has had a wonderful six years in her home, loved and well cared for, and now she is back with us — just as promised.
Some of you may remember Cassie as one of our beautiful foster mums in the nanny mare program.
For us, this is what the safety net means. It’s not just finding a horse a home and walking away. It’s making a lifelong promise that if something changes, they always have somewhere safe to come back to.
And today, Cassie came home.
