HSES Jazz
Jazz is a beautiful Quarter Horse mare who will spend the rest of her days here at Horse Shepherd.
She came to us many years ago under difficult circumstances. Her owner had planned to dope her and send her through the sale ring, however our trainer at the time refused and instead helped ensure Jazz found safety with us.
Sadly, Jazz suffers from arthritis in both knees, making her unsuitable for riding. While she remains comfortable and enjoys life, her future is one of companionship rather than work.
Jazz doesn’t know she’s retired. She spends her days doing all the things horses enjoy — grazing, socialising with her friends and soaking up the sunshine.
As a permanent sanctuary resident, Jazz will need ongoing care for the rest of her life and would love a sponsor to help support her feed, farrier and veterinary costs.
For just $25 a week or $100 a month, you can help provide Jazz with the care and security she deserves.
Some horses come to Horse Shepherd for rehabilitation. Others, like Jazz, come to stay.
