we love having visitors to the farm
Come and enjoy a fun and informative walk where you will meet many of our rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. Not to mention the many other animals that have found a safe home here at Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary.
The walking tours cover about 2.5kms depending where the animals are and take 1.5 to 2hrs, with lots of stops along the way to greet our fury friends.
Meet our cheeky goats and ponies, you might see the peacocks or turkeys fan their tails. Morrie the Merino is sure to make an appearance and you will likely be accompanied by a motley crew of dogs as well.
You will have the opportunity to view a rare breed of horse and if your lucky you can steal a kiss from a camel. We will share the stories of our animals and give you an incite into why we do what we do.
Please note – we are not a petting zoo, most of our animals have come from difficult circumstances so are allowed to choose if they will interact.
Due to our bio-security measures we cannot have animal visitors, we appreciate your understanding.
Weather
Now the colder months have arrived we will only have one or two walks per month.
