Horses that first come to the Sanctuary are given time to unwind, relax and in turn, be assessed for rehabilitation needs.
Each horse will always have its own specific needs addressed and for us, there is no rush. Taking time to learn more about each horse allows us to better assess them for adoption suitability. We take the worry out of purchasing an ‘unknown’ horse for you.

Beautiful older companion mare – has had a rough few years and now needs someone kind to help her retire gracefully.
One of two grey fillies saved by the RSPCA from the ‘Bulla’ case where 20+ horses starved to death in early 2016. Rehabilitated at HSES – Big Grey is now in training with Chris Giles. Big Grey will need an experienced rider but she is beautiful. Big Grey is 16hh and rising 4.
Wow Sunny is now a stunning horse. Rescued by the RSPCA as part of the Bulla seizure – he is now in training with Blair Ireland. This stunning little horse is approx 4 yrs old and just 15 hh.
Dumped on a country road near Greendale – a little herd of 16! They quickly became the Greendale 16. A little black stallion, a colt and 14 various mares and fillies.
