Horses that first come to the Sanctuary are given time to unwind, relax and in turn, be assessed for rehabilitation needs.
Each horse will always have its own specific needs addressed and for us, there is no rush. Taking time to learn more about each horse allows us to better assess them for adoption suitability. We take the worry out of purchasing an ‘unknown’ horse for you.

One of two grey fillies saved by the RSPCA from the ‘Bulla’ case where 20+ horses starved to death in early 2016. Rehabilitated at HSES – Big Grey is now in training with Chris Giles. Big Grey will need an experienced rider but she is beautiful. Big Grey is 16hh and rising 4.
Wow he is a super little horse. Arriving as unhandled 5-6yr old stallion (now gelded and turned out 12 months)- Apollo has a very kind nature. Apollo has only just started his training however please email an expression of interest. We believe he will make a great trail horse…….
Dumped on a country road near Greendale – a little herd of 16! They quickly became the Greendale 16. A little black stallion, a colt and 14 various mares and fillies.
