We received a call from Pam at Edgars Mission to ask if we could help a two week old colt foal. He was shortly to be taken from his mum, so that she could rear a “more prized” t/b foal, whose mum had sadly died. These poor babies are the bobby calves of the racing industry. We were thrilled to be able to help this little filly (not a colt!). Over the next few days we will update on her progress as we transition her to a foster mum. You see this well-hidden secret in the horse breeding industry doesn’t need to exist – ‘Mums4Bubs’ offer super quiet foster mares that are medically stimulated under Vet care to produce milk and accept new foals. At HSES we believe no foal should be born to die!
